Biography

A little bit about me, hmm well, not really sure where to start. I think of myself as a little off the norm,
wierd some say, but my mom says "different". Independently dependent upon my husband. My favorite
saying when asked why I chose my profession of domestic engineer is, "I could have been a great
many things in this life, but chose the most challenging, wife and mother." I'm a closet knitter, quilter,
photographer and writer. I'm so domesticated it's insane, but I'll never admit to it. I love to cook for a
crew of hungry cowboys. Growing a garden and children are the most fun. A freshly sealed can of
things from my garden is priceless. Too bad you can't can all the smiles and giggles of a toddler
to save for when they are teenagers! I'm still learning who I am and who I want to be, so stick with
me and you'll know when I do.
I didn’t grow up in a ranching lifestyle, I didn’t even grow up in a ranching community. I was
born in Wyoming, mostly grew up in Michigan, and then returned to Wyoming. I met my Cowboy
almost 2 years after I moved back. He grew up learning all the things I’m still trying to figure out.
So these are the stories we’ve made along the way of marriage, moving, motherhood,
and of course ranching.
It truely is my life, the real life of a ranch hand's wife.
